Greg O’Brien: Notes from Davos

Greg ObrienAs I head to Davos for my first World Economic Forum meeting, I look forward to connecting with many of our clients and prospects in this unique global setting. Attendance at Davos is limited to leaders of the top companies, government leaders, academics and civic organizations in the world.  JLL is one of only 100 Strategic Partners to the World Economic Forum, a group that includes many of our top clients representing a cross section of industries and geographies.  It’s surprising to think that a small setting atop a mountain in Switzerland provides this type of personal connectivity.

In addition to meeting with clients, I will be busy attending sessions that touch on regional issues in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. But I’ll also go to meetings on topics such as cities, technology and healthcare – all of which are areas of focus for the World Economic Forum, for JLL and for me personally.

I’m fascinated by the increasing role that technology plays in connecting us with our clients and helping them solve their problems.  By identifying their common challenges, we can continue to develop new tools that contribute to their success and productivity.  More to come on that after I talk to our clients about their needs and learn about the latest innovations.

With so many themes to explore and so many people to meet, our week in Davos is sure to be busy and rewarding.
