Heading to Davos, I stopped in Geneva to speak at the UN’s Women’s Empowerment Conference. It was a good opportunity to highlight the progress we’ve made at JLL in advancing women in executive and leadership roles, with the support and recognition of our male colleagues.
The World Economic Forum this year will be particularly valuable in gaining perspectives. Many of the enduring Davos topics addressing globalization, immigration, trade agreements, inequality, security, diversity and inclusion are all being questioned. And the long tail of the global financial and Euro crises has been accompanied by unexpected Brexit and US election outcomes, with more key votes to come in 2017. Will China seize the opportunity to take center stage?
So in the sessions, one-on-one meetings and the private forum of corporate chairmen, I’ll be listening for insights into the global business outlook for this year and beyond.
